Share Laxmi Shetty has stepped down from ZEE Entertainment Enterprises, concluding a career spanning more than 21 years with the broadcaster. Sources indicated that Shetty recently resigned from the company after holding several senior leadership positions across ZEEL’s advertising and revenue ecosystem. Her departure comes less than a year after she was elevated as Head – Advertisement Revenue, Broadcast & Digital following the exit of Ashish Sehgal. Recognised internally as one of the company’s longest-serving revenue leaders, Shetty played a significant role in shaping the network’s monetisation strategy across television and digital platforms. Over the years, she worked extensively on strategic sales planning, pricing frameworks, advertiser partnerships, and cross-platform revenue integration, contributing to the evolution of ZEEL’s advertising and commercial operations during a period of rapid transformation in the media landscape. Before taking charge of the advertisement revenue business, Shetty served as Chief Sales Strategy & Maximisation Officer at ZEE Entertainment Enterprises, where she focused on revenue optimisation and strategic commercial initiatives across the network. Her long tenure coincided with major shifts in the broadcast and digital media industry, including changing advertiser behaviour, the rise of streaming platforms, integrated media buying models, and increasing demand for cross-platform monetisation strategies. Prior to joining ZEE Entertainment Enterprises, Shetty worked with Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd., gaining early experience in media and advertising operations. Her exit marks another senior leadership change in India’s media and entertainment sector, where companies continue to recalibrate business structures, digital strategies, and revenue models amid evolving audience consumption patterns and intensifying competition across broadcast and streaming platforms.
