Share Infosys has reaffirmed its plan to recruit 20,000 fresh graduates during FY27, signalling continued confidence in India’s engineering talent pipeline despite the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence. The announcement follows the company’s recent decision to roll out phased salary hikes, highlighting its dual focus on rewarding existing employees while investing in the next generation of technology professionals. Speaking about the company’s hiring strategy, CEO Salil Parekh said Infosys has already hired more than 4,000 graduates during the first quarter of FY27 and intends to maintain the same campus hiring target as the previous financial year. He emphasised that campus recruitment remains a strategic priority and reflects the company’s confidence in the long-term growth of the technology services industry. Infosys is simultaneously strengthening its artificial intelligence capabilities by building a workforce of approximately 6,000 frontier engineers over the coming years. Parekh noted that today’s graduates are increasingly AI-native and will play a central role in helping enterprises adopt AI at scale. As specialised AI expertise becomes more valuable, the company expects compensation for these skills to evolve accordingly through differentiated talent programmes. The hiring commitment comes even as Infosys continues to optimise its workforce and invest in future-ready capabilities. By combining large-scale campus recruitment with targeted investments in AI talent and phased salary revisions, the company aims to build a workforce equipped to support enterprise digital transformation while reinforcing its position as one of India’s leading technology employers.
