Share Trent plans to increase Westside’s store openings to approximately 100 new outlets every year, a significant jump from its previous pace of around 10–15 stores annually. The expansion will strengthen the brand’s footprint in major metropolitan markets, including Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, while also extending its presence into India’s northeastern region. At the end of the last financial year, Westside operated around 300 stores across the country. The aggressive rollout forms part of Trent’s broader strategy to make Westside its next major growth driver. The company is also investing heavily in artificial intelligence to improve product design, demand forecasting, and supply chain efficiency, enabling faster merchandise cycles and better customer experiences. Simultaneously, Westside is strengthening its online business and expanding its international operations to support long-term growth. The expansion comes as India’s organised fashion retail sector continues to grow, driven by rising disposable incomes, increasing demand for branded apparel, and omnichannel shopping. By combining rapid physical expansion with digital capabilities and AI-led innovation, Westside aims to deepen its market presence while maintaining operational efficiency. With this ambitious strategy, Trent is positioning Westside for sustained long-term growth, reinforcing the Tata Group’s commitment to building one of India’s leading fashion retail brands.
