Share Tata Consultancy Services is under scrutiny following serious allegations of workplace misconduct at its Nashik office, prompting swift action from the leadership. N. Chandrasekaran has termed the situation “gravely concerning and anguishing” and announced a formal investigation into the matter. The probe is being led by Arathi Subramanian, who has been tasked with establishing the facts and identifying those responsible. The allegations, raised by eight female employees, include claims of sexual harassment and forced religious conversion at the workplace. According to initial developments, action has already been initiated against the accused employees, and the company is cooperating fully with ongoing investigations. Law enforcement authorities have reportedly arrested several individuals, including a member of the HR team, as part of the probe. In an official statement, Chandrasekaran emphasised that the organisation maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards any form of harassment, coercion, or misconduct. He added that appropriate and stringent action will be taken against those found guilty, and necessary corrective measures will be implemented to prevent such incidents in the future. Earlier, TCS had confirmed that it had suspended employees linked to the case and reiterated its commitment to ensuring a safe and secure workplace environment. The company stated that it acted promptly upon becoming aware of the issue. The incident has raised broader concerns around workplace safety, HR responsiveness, and organisational accountability, especially in large enterprises. As investigations continue, the case is likely to remain closely watched across corporate and regulatory circles.
