Seven Tata Group companies together added more than 37,000 employees during FY26, reinforcing the conglomerate’s commitment to talent development and business expansion across multiple sectors. The hiring was driven by companies including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Tata Electronics, Trent, Air India, Titan Company, Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), and Tata Technologies, reflecting sustained growth in technology, retail, aviation, manufacturing, engineering, and hospitality.

The workforce expansion comes at a time when many organisations have adopted cautious hiring strategies amid global economic uncertainty. Tata Group companies, however, continued to invest in building capabilities aligned with long-term growth opportunities, particularly in digital transformation, electronics manufacturing, retail expansion, engineering services, and customer-focused businesses.

Technology remained a major employment driver, with TCS continuing to strengthen its talent base while investing in digital skills, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and emerging technologies. At the same time, Tata Electronics expanded its workforce to support India’s growing semiconductor and electronics manufacturing ambitions, while Trent and Titan added employees to support their rapidly expanding retail footprints. Air India and IHCL also increased hiring as demand in the aviation and hospitality sectors continued to recover and grow.

The combined addition of over 37,000 employees reflects the Tata Group’s diversified growth strategy and its continued role as one of India’s largest private-sector employers. By investing in talent across multiple industries, the group continues to strengthen its leadership in innovation, customer experience, manufacturing, and digital transformation while contributing significantly to employment generation in the country.
