Serentica Renewables has appointed Annapurna J as its Chief Human Resources Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the company accelerates its growth in India’s renewable energy sector.

Based in Mumbai, Annapurna J will oversee the organisation’s people strategy, organisational development and talent transformation, supporting the company’s expansion across multiple markets. She will report to the group CHRO and play a key role in aligning workforce strategy with business growth priorities.

The appointment comes at a time when Serentica is rapidly scaling its renewable energy capacity, focusing on delivering clean and reliable power solutions to industrial customers. As the company expands its footprint, building a future-ready and agile workforce has become a critical priority.

Annapurna J brings over 24 years of experience across large enterprises and high-growth organisations. Her expertise spans organisational transformation, mergers and acquisitions integration, employee value proposition design, digital HR systems, and succession planning.

Prior to joining Serentica, she served as Group Head – Talent Management at Mahindra & Mahindra, where she worked on leadership pipeline development, diversity initiatives, and succession planning frameworks. She also held a senior HR leadership role at Vodafone Idea, where she contributed to digital HR transformation and played a key role in post-merger cultural integration.

Her appointment reflects a broader industry trend where organisations in the clean energy sector are strengthening HR leadership to support large-scale transformation and growth. As India’s energy transition gathers pace, companies are increasingly focusing on building talent capabilities that align with sustainability and long-term business goals.
