Wistron has officially opened its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas, with an investment of US$700 million, marking a major milestone in the expansion of AI infrastructure manufacturing in the United States.

The new facility will manufacture Nvidia’s GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Superchip computing systems and is expected to begin producing the company’s next-generation Vera Rubin Superchip in the future. Designed to support the rapidly growing demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure, the factory is expected to scale production to tens of thousands of computing boards every month.

The project has already generated more than 500 jobs and is on track to employ around 1,000 people by the end of 2026. According to Nvidia, the Fort Worth facility forms part of its broader US$500 billion investment commitment announced in 2025 to strengthen AI infrastructure and expand advanced manufacturing capacity across the United States.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who attended the inauguration, highlighted the importance of domestic manufacturing in meeting unprecedented global demand for AI systems. Wistron said the plant strengthens a critical layer of the AI supply chain by expanding U.S.-based assembly and testing capabilities while improving supply chain resilience and delivery timelines.

The launch reflects the broader trend of Taiwanese technology manufacturers increasing investments in the United States to support the next generation of AI computing. As demand for AI infrastructure continues to accelerate, the new Texas facility is expected to play a pivotal role in scaling production, creating skilled jobs, and reinforcing the U.S. semiconductor and advanced manufacturing ecosystem.
