Share Mahindra & Mahindra has appointed Rajeev Goyal as Chief Executive Officer of its Agri and New Energy businesses, marking a strategic leadership move as the company sharpens its focus on sustainability and future-ready growth. The appointment also places Goyal on the Mahindra Group Executive Board, highlighting the growing importance of the agri and energy portfolio within the group’s long-term strategy. Goyal brings over two decades of experience within the Mahindra Group, having held several senior finance leadership roles. His previous positions include CFO of the Farm Equipment Sector, CFO of the Auto Sector, and CFO of the combined automotive and farm equipment businesses. Over the years, he has played a key role in strengthening governance frameworks and driving financial performance across core verticals. In his new role, Goyal will oversee Mahindra’s agri-focused operations along with its new energy businesses, including Powerol. The portfolio is closely aligned with India’s evolving priorities around sustainable agriculture, clean energy, and electrification. His elevation comes at a time when large conglomerates are actively restructuring portfolios to tap into opportunities in energy transition and resilient agricultural systems. Mahindra’s focus on these sectors reflects its broader ambition to drive long-term value while contributing to sustainability goals. Before joining Mahindra, Goyal worked with Escorts Limited in finance leadership roles and brings strong expertise in financial strategy and business transformation. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and holds a commerce degree from Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University. With this leadership transition, Mahindra is expected to further accelerate its growth across agri and new energy segments, positioning the businesses as key drivers of its future expansion.
