Infosys has announced that it will implement salary hikes in phases beginning October 2026 while maintaining its target of hiring 20,000 fresh graduates during FY27. The announcement was made by CEO Salil Parekh during the company’s first-quarter FY27 earnings conference, highlighting Infosys’ continued investment in talent despite an evolving demand environment.

Under the phased salary revision plan, most employees will receive their salary increases in October, while senior employees will receive their revisions in January 2027. Parekh said the staggered approach allows the company to balance employee investments with business priorities while continuing to strengthen its workforce and AI capabilities.

Infosys also reaffirmed its commitment to campus hiring, stating that it plans to recruit 20,000 fresh graduates during FY27. More than 4,000 graduates have already joined the company during the June quarter. According to the company, productivity improvements from AI and automation will complement, rather than replace, investments in early-career talent.

At the end of the June quarter, Infosys employed 3,28,062 people, reflecting a sequential reduction of 532 employees but an annual increase of 4,274 employees. The company reported revenue of ₹48,211 crore, net profit of ₹7,769 crore, and large deal bookings worth US$3.6 billion during the quarter, while AI services contributed an increasing share of its overall business.

With phased salary hikes, sustained campus recruitment, and a long-term focus on AI-led transformation, Infosys continues to position itself for future growth while maintaining its commitment to talent development and workforce stability.
