Share IndiGo has announced the departure of Group Chief Human Resources Officer Sukhjit S. Pasricha, marking the end of another significant chapter in the airline’s leadership journey. He will step down from the role effective July 26 after serving in his second stint with the company. Pasricha first joined IndiGo in 2013 as Senior Vice President – Human Resources before moving on in 2018. He returned to the airline in 2022 as Group CHRO, where he played a key role in strengthening the company’s people strategy during a period of rapid expansion and organizational transformation. With more than 30 years of experience across aviation, banking, telecommunications, and consumer goods, Pasricha has built an accomplished HR career. Before rejoining IndiGo, he served as Group CHRO at Kotak Mahindra Bank and earlier held senior HR leadership positions at Bajaj Finserv, Bharti Airtel, PepsiCo, and Spice Communications. His expertise spans organizational transformation, leadership development, workforce planning, and HR strategy. During his tenure at IndiGo, Pasricha helped drive initiatives focused on talent development, employee engagement, and organizational capability, supporting the airline as it expanded its operations and workforce. His leadership contributed to strengthening the company’s people practices while aligning HR strategy with business growth. The leadership transition comes as IndiGo continues to scale its domestic and international operations amid increasing demand and fleet expansion. According to the company’s regulatory filing, Kanwal Jeet Singh Bakshi, currently Group Head of Human Resources at InterGlobe Enterprises and a former IndiGo HR leader, will take over as Chief Human Resources Officer. Pasricha’s departure marks the close of a successful tenure and highlights the strategic importance of strong people leadership in supporting business transformation within the aviation industry. As IndiGo continues its growth journey, the transition is expected to ensure continuity in its HR and talent agenda while building on the foundation established during his leadership.
