Share Google has appointed Anshul Sheopuri as Vice President, Global HR Operations and AI Innovation, reinforcing its commitment to integrating artificial intelligence into workforce strategy and people operations. In his new role, Sheopuri will oversee global HR operations while driving AI-led transformation across HR workflows. His mandate includes embedding data analytics into decision-making, scaling intelligent workforce systems, and enabling more insight-driven and efficient people strategies across the organisation. He joins Google from Mastercard, where he served as Executive Vice President, People Operations and Insights. During his tenure, he led enterprise-wide initiatives focused on people analytics and data-driven decision-making. Prior to that, he spent over 16 years at IBM, working at the intersection of HR, data science, and artificial intelligence. His roles included Vice President, Data and AI, People Analytics, and Chief Technology Officer for HR, where he led large-scale transformation programmes and built analytics-driven HR solutions. Sheopuri holds a PhD in Operations Management from NYU Stern School of Business, reflecting his strong foundation in analytics, operations, and decision sciences- skills that are increasingly critical in modern HR leadership. Commenting on his appointment, he described the opportunity as a chance to “rewire HR workflows with an AI-first approach at scale” and expressed enthusiasm about joining Google with a “Noogler mindset,” embracing learning and collaboration across teams. The appointment comes at a time when global organisations are increasingly integrating HR with technology and data functions. Companies are investing in AI-driven systems to enhance workforce planning, employee experience, and operational efficiency.
