Envalior Opens EV Skilling Centre in Pune, to Train 250 Students Annually

Envalior India has inaugurated a Centre of Excellence in EV Technology at Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Polytechnic in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative. Established in collaboration with the BroadArks Foundation, the centre aims to strengthen technical education and prepare students for the rapidly evolving electric mobility industry. The facility is expected to train around 250 learners annually through specialised EV certification programmes.

The centre will offer two industry-aligned programmes: a Level 4 Certificate in EV Service, Safety & Maintenance and a Level 5 Advanced Certificate in EV Diagnostics & Systems. The programmes are designed for eligible ITI and polytechnic students from disciplines including mechanical, electrical, electronics, mechatronics and computer science. The courses combine classroom instruction with practical laboratory training to provide students with hands-on exposure to modern EV technologies.

The curriculum covers key areas including EV architecture, battery systems, charging infrastructure, battery management systems, power electronics, motors and controllers, diagnostics, thermal management and high-voltage safety. Students will also work with EV cut-sections, battery systems, motors, charging equipment and diagnostic tools, along with practical assessments and industry-oriented projects.

The initiative comes as India’s electric mobility ecosystem continues to expand, creating demand for technicians and professionals with specialised EV skills. By combining certified training with laboratory experience and industry exposure, the Envalior Centre of Excellence aims to bridge the gap between traditional technical education and the skills increasingly required by the automotive industry.

Envalior said the centre is envisioned as a long-term platform for strengthening EV education through modern laboratory infrastructure, trainer development and greater industry-academia collaboration. The initiative highlights the growing role of industry-led skilling programmes in building a future-ready workforce capable of supporting India’s transition towards electric mobility.
