Share Thermax has appointed Kavita Singh as Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Management Personnel, reinforcing its leadership team as the company intensifies its focus on workforce transformation, leadership capability, and long-term talent strategy. The appointment was approved by the company’s Board during its meeting on May 7, 2026, with Singh set to formally assume the role on May 25. In her new position, Singh will lead Thermax’s people and culture agenda, overseeing leadership development, workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and organisational capability building across the company’s operations. Singh brings more than two decades of experience across industries including manufacturing, logistics, telecom, and insurance. Prior to joining Thermax, she served as CHRO at United Breweries, where she led HR strategy across 19 manufacturing plants, 16 co-pack units, and a workforce of over 12,000 employees. Her work there focused on employee engagement, leadership development, change management, and employee wellness initiatives. Before that, she was CHRO at Hindustan Zinc, overseeing HR operations across 11 locations and supporting a workforce of more than 20,000 employees and workers. Her responsibilities included succession planning, labour relations, governance, leadership development, and local skill-building initiatives. Singh also spent more than a decade with A.P. Moller – Maersk in leadership roles across India, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She later joined Damco Logistics as Regional Director and Head of Human Resources for Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East, where she managed HR operations across 27 markets. Earlier in her career, she held HR and talent management roles at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Tata AIG, and Reliance Communications, building expertise across workforce management, employee relations, and talent strategy. Her appointment comes at a time when industrial and engineering companies are placing greater emphasis on workforce productivity, leadership pipelines, and organisational agility amid rapid technological and sustainability-driven transformation. Thermax, which operates across heating, cooling, water treatment, waste management, and clean energy systems, continues to strengthen its leadership structure as it navigates evolving industry demands and workforce expectations. Singh holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Bharathidasan Institute of Management and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from University of Rajasthan. Her addition reflects the growing strategic importance of HR leadership in driving operational readiness, talent sustainability, and long-term organisational growth.
