Suzlon Energy has appointed Anjali Byce as its Group Chief Human Resource Officer (Group CHRO), effective July 29, 2026. She succeeds Rajendra Mehta, whose resignation became effective on July 28, 2026, following his tenure with the renewable energy company since December 2022. The appointment has also designated Byce as a member of Suzlon’s senior management team.

Anjali Byce brings approximately 27 years of experience in human resources and organisational leadership across multiple industries, including automotive, manufacturing, engineering, industrial technology, financial services, and renewable energy. Prior to joining Suzlon Energy, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Tata Motors. Earlier in her career, she held leadership positions at Sterlite Technologies, SKF India, Thermax, Cummins India, and Bajaj Allianz, where she led strategic HR transformation initiatives across diverse business functions.

Her expertise spans strategic human resources, industrial relations, organisational development, learning and development, leadership capability building, corporate social responsibility, health, safety and environment, and business partnering. She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Delhi, a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD), and has completed executive education at IMD Business School. Byce has also received several industry recognitions, including CHRO of the Year and recognition among the Top 100 Most Talented Global HR Leaders.

As Group CHRO, Anjali Byce will lead Suzlon Energy’s people strategy, talent management, organisational development, leadership capability, and culture transformation initiatives as the company continues to expand its renewable energy business. Her appointment reflects Suzlon’s continued focus on strengthening leadership and building a future-ready workforce to support its long-term growth ambitions.
