Sandoz has appointed Aarti A Kapoor as Head – People & Organisation Operations for Region International, strengthening its global HR leadership as the company continues to scale operations across international markets.

Announcing the move, Kapoor described the opportunity as an exciting step during what Sandoz’s Global Chief People Officer Tripti Jha has referred to as the company’s “Golden Decade.” In her new role, Kapoor will oversee people and organisation operations across a highly complex international region spanning more than 50 countries and 16 time zones.

Her mandate includes driving seamless global collaboration, enhancing employee experience, and supporting scalable people operations aligned with the company’s mission of increasing access to affordable medicines.

Kapoor brings more than two decades of experience in HR operations, shared services, employee experience, and large-scale transformation programmes. Prior to joining Sandoz, she served as Director – Global HR Operations & Service Delivery at McDonald’s. Earlier, she briefly held the role of Vice President – People Enablement & Service Delivery at Adani Group.

She also spent over three years at PepsiCo, where she led people operations, HR transformation, and capability development initiatives. During her tenure, she worked on digital HR tools and employee-centric service delivery models designed to improve operational efficiency and workforce experience.

Before that, Kapoor spent more than seven years at Amazon in multiple HR leadership roles, including Global Service Delivery Hub Leader – HR Services. There, she led large-scale HR transformation programmes, integrated AI-powered solutions into HR operations, and drove initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion, employer branding, organisational restructuring, and global expansion.

Her earlier career includes leadership roles at American Express and Infovision India Pvt Ltd, where she built expertise in compliance, employee relations, payroll operations, leave management, and workforce support functions.

Kapoor holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certification and has completed an Executive HR Management Programme from Indian Institute of Management Indore. Her experience reflects a strong focus on leveraging data, automation, and AI to create efficient, employee-centric HR ecosystems.

The appointment comes at a time when organisations are increasingly integrating digital transformation into workforce operations and prioritising scalable people systems across geographies. For Sandoz, Kapoor’s addition signals continued investment in strengthening global HR capabilities, leadership alignment, and employee experience as the company expands its international footprint.
