Share Ford Business Solutions (FBS) India has launched a new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Coimbatore, expanding its operations beyond Chennai and Bengaluru while reinforcing India’s role as a strategic hub for the automaker’s global business functions. Located at SVB Tech Park, the new 82,000-square-foot facility has the capacity to accommodate around 800 employees, with more than 600 professionals expected to work from the centre initially. The office has been designed to support hybrid working and collaborative innovation while serving as a dedicated business continuity hub for Ford’s global operations. The Coimbatore centre will primarily support Ford’s accounting, Ford Credit, treasury, and business operations teams worldwide. It will also play a key role in advancing technology, software engineering, data science, and analytics capabilities, areas that the company expects to account for nearly half of its future growth in India. Ford Business Solutions India currently employs more than 12,000 professionals and has spent over 25 years building global capabilities from the country. The new centre strengthens operational resilience by providing an additional strategic location while leveraging Coimbatore’s growing talent pool and expanding technology ecosystem. The expansion also reinforces Tamil Nadu’s position as one of India’s leading destinations for Global Capability Centres. As multinational companies continue to invest in digital transformation, engineering, and shared services, Ford’s latest expansion underscores the state’s growing importance in supporting global innovation, technology development, and enterprise operations.
