Cognizant has announced plans to recruit 1,500 graduates across the United States by the end of 2026, reinforcing its commitment to building an AI-ready workforce and strengthening its talent pipeline for the future of enterprise technology.

The new hires will join Cognizant’s core technology services business, its engineering subsidiary Belcan, and the newly launched Frontier Engineers programme. Designed for high-potential technical graduates, the programme offers accelerated career pathways focused on enterprise artificial intelligence, enabling participants to work on real-world AI projects that help clients transform business operations.

The recruitment drive forms part of Cognizant’s broader workforce strategy as organisations increasingly adopt AI technologies across industries. According to the company, it has hired approximately 27,000 campus graduates globally since 2025, reflecting its continued investment in developing early-career talent.

Alongside graduate hiring, Cognizant is expanding its learning ecosystem through initiatives such as the Fusion Internship programme, which combines AI-enabled project work with structured mentorship and leadership development. The company also continues to run its Ignite programme for first-year university students and Elevate programme for sophomores, helping students build technical and professional skills before entering the workforce.

Commenting on the initiative, Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S said that the next generation of technologists will play a crucial role in developing, deploying, and governing AI systems. Through its expanded hiring and training efforts, Cognizant aims to create a strong domestic AI talent pipeline while equipping graduates with the skills required to lead enterprise AI transformation.
