BNY has appointed Ankur Berry as Director – People Team, strengthening its senior HR leadership as the financial services organisation continues to focus on people transformation, organisational effectiveness and global workforce strategy.

In his new role, Berry will serve as People Business Partner for the COO organisation in India and the F&IS organisation globally, leading initiatives across people, engagement and organisational impact.

The appointment brings an experienced HR leader into a role spanning both India and global business functions, reflecting the increasingly strategic role of people leadership within large financial services organisations.

Nearly three decades of HR leadership experience

Berry brings around 28 years of professional leadership experience, with a career spanning human resources, people transformation, organisational development and global operations.

Over the course of his career, he has worked with large organisations across multiple industries and geographies, supporting businesses with operations spanning five continents and 25 countries.

His experience includes working with businesses valued at more than $800 million, where he has been involved in strengthening HR functions, improving operating models and developing scalable people strategies.

Leadership experience across major organisations

Before joining BNY, Berry was associated with Coforge, where he served as Vice President & HR Head. During his tenure, he held senior HR responsibilities across the organisation, including supporting BPS and global people functions.

Prior to Coforge, he served as Vice President & Global Head – People & Culture / Global CHRO at Digiphoto Entertainment Imaging (DEI).
