ANAROCK has appointed Anshul Kapur as Senior Vice President – Investment Banking | Private Capital & Investments (Real Assets), strengthening its leadership in real estate investment and capital advisory.

Based in Pune, Kapur will focus on expanding investor relationships and developing capital solutions across yield-generating real estate assets. His mandate will cover investment sales, strategic transactions and opportunities spanning AIFs, REITs, SM REITs, real estate credit, private equity and structured investments.

The appointment brings together experience from real estate, banking and investment advisory, positioning Kapur to work across both the asset and capital sides of the market.

A cross-sector career spanning real estate and financial services

Kapur brings more than 13 years of professional experience across commercial real estate, private wealth banking, mortgage lending and investment advisory.

His career has given him exposure to different stages of the investment cycle, including credit assessment, underwriting, investor engagement, relationship management and real estate transactions.

Before joining ANAROCK, he held roles with several prominent organisations, including CBRE, Panchshil Realty, YES BANK and Citi India.

His experience across these institutions has helped him develop a combination of real estate market knowledge and financial-services expertise.

Focus on Pune’s real estate investment market

In his new role, Kapur will have a strategic focus on the Pune market, working to strengthen connections between investors and real estate opportunities.

His responsibilities will include identifying investment opportunities, developing capital solutions and supporting transactions involving income-generating real estate assets.

The role comes at a time when investors are increasingly exploring structured avenues to participate in India’s real estate market beyond traditional property ownership.

Expanding the private capital opportunity

Kapur’s mandate will extend across a broad range of investment structures, including Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), REITs, SM REITs, real estate credit, private equity and structured investments.

These instruments are playing an increasingly important role in connecting institutional and private capital with real estate assets.

For advisory platforms such as ANAROCK, the ability to combine market intelligence with capital and transaction expertise is becoming increasingly important as investors look for opportunities offering stable returns, diversification and long-term value creation.

Bringing an investment and banking perspective

One of Kapur’s key strengths is his experience across both real estate and financial services.

His time at CBRE and Panchshil Realty provided exposure to the commercial real estate ecosystem, while his roles at YES BANK and Citi India added experience in banking, credit, wealth management and investment advisory.

This combination gives him a perspective that extends beyond individual transactions. It enables him to evaluate real estate opportunities through the lens of investment fundamentals, financing structures, risk assessment and long-term capital relationships.

Building stronger investor relationships

A major part of Kapur’s new mandate will involve deepening relationships with investors and developing solutions aligned with their capital requirements.

His responsibilities will include working across investment sales and strategic transactions while helping connect investors with suitable real estate opportunities.

As capital continues to become more sophisticated within India’s real estate sector, investor expectations are also shifting towards stronger governance, transparent structures and disciplined underwriting.

Kapur’s background across banking and real estate positions him to contribute to this evolving investment environment.

ANAROCK strengthens its investment leadership

The appointment adds further depth to ANAROCK’s investment banking and private capital capabilities.

With India’s real estate market attracting growing interest from institutional investors, private equity funds, family offices and other capital providers, the demand for specialised investment advisory is also expanding.

Kapur’s appointment reflects the growing importance of professionals who can bridge the gap between real estate assets and financial capital.

With a mandate focused on Pune and wider real estate investment opportunities, Kapur will look to strengthen investor engagement while supporting capital solutions and strategic transactions across the real assets ecosystem.
