Share T-Mobile has appointed Chris Sambar as its new Chief Enterprise Officer, marking a significant leadership change as the company continues to expand its enterprise business and invest in AI-driven growth opportunities. Sambar will join the company no later than October 14, 2026, reporting directly to CEO Srini Gopalan. In his new role, he will lead T-Mobile’s small and medium business (SMB), enterprise, and government businesses while overseeing emerging growth initiatives, including T-Ads and Physical AI. His appointment is part of a broader executive realignment designed to accelerate the company’s next phase of innovation and strategic expansion. He succeeds Mike Katz, T-Mobile’s Chief Business & Product Officer, who has decided to step away after 28 years with the company to pursue new professional interests. Katz will remain in a strategic advisory role through December 2026 to ensure a smooth leadership transition. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in shaping T-Mobile’s “Un-carrier” strategy and driving the company’s marketing, product, and business transformation. Before joining T-Mobile, Sambar served as Executive Vice President – Technology Operations at AT&T, where he led nationwide network operations, 5G deployment, fiber expansion, and technology transformation initiatives. Bringing more than three decades of experience in the telecommunications industry, he is widely recognized for delivering large-scale network modernization and operational excellence. Alongside Sambar’s appointment, T-Mobile also expanded the responsibilities of André Almeida, who has been named Chief Marketing, Brand and Broadband Officer, reflecting the company’s broader leadership evolution. These changes underscore T-Mobile’s ambition to strengthen its enterprise offerings, accelerate AI innovation, and capitalize on new growth opportunities in an increasingly digital and connected economy.
