PwC has appointed Rahul Tiwari as Associate Director – Strategy & Transformation, adding an experienced business and strategy professional to its consulting leadership team.

Tiwari brings more than 11 years of experience across strategy, business transformation, marketing, sales and growth. His appointment follows an extensive career in the consumer and business sectors, including over eight years with Pidilite Industries, where he worked across several strategic and business-facing roles.

With experience spanning corporate strategy, go-to-market planning, category development, portfolio strategy and business operations, Tiwari brings a strong combination of industry and commercial experience to his new role at PwC.

From Consumer Business to Strategy and Transformation

Before joining PwC, Rahul Tiwari spent more than eight years at Pidilite Industries Limited, taking on a range of responsibilities across strategic and business functions.

During his tenure, he worked with the Vice Chairman’s Office and Managing Director’s Office, while also gaining experience in Category Development, Channel Strategy and branch operations.

His work covered areas such as:

  • Business strategy
  • Go-to-market strategy
  • Business transformation
  • Portfolio strategy
  • Category growth
  • Channel development
  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Business operations

The range of roles provided him with exposure to both long-term strategic planning and on-ground business execution.

Experience Across Leading Consumer and Business Organisations

Prior to Pidilite, Tiwari worked with organisations including Piramal Enterprises, Procter & Gamble and Haldiram Snacks Food.

Across these roles, he developed experience in several commercial and consumer-focused functions, including:

  • Brand management
  • Sales
  • Consumer research
  • Distribution
  • Marketing
  • Business development

His career reflects a progression from consumer and commercial roles towards broader strategy and transformation responsibilities.

This combination of operational and strategic exposure can be particularly valuable in consulting, where organisations increasingly seek advisors with an understanding of how strategy translates into business execution.

A Wider Perspective on Business Transformation

In his new position as Associate Director – Strategy & Transformation, Tiwari is expected to bring his industry experience to support strategic and transformation-focused engagements.

Businesses today are navigating increasingly complex growth challenges, including changing consumer behaviour, evolving distribution models, portfolio optimisation and the need to improve execution across functions.

As a result, strategy roles are increasingly moving beyond planning alone. The focus is shifting towards developing strategies that can be translated into measurable business outcomes.

Tiwari’s background across leadership offices, category strategy, channel development and branch operations gives him exposure to different stages of this process—from strategic decision-making to implementation.

Consulting Continues to Attract Industry Leadership Talent

The movement of experienced industry professionals into consulting leadership roles reflects a broader demand for professionals who combine strategic thinking with practical business experience.

Consulting firms are increasingly strengthening their teams with leaders who have worked directly within large organisations and understand the operational realities of growth, transformation and market execution.

With his experience across Pidilite Industries, Piramal Enterprises, Procter & Gamble and Haldiram’s, Tiwari brings exposure to multiple business environments and consumer-focused sectors.

An alumnus of the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, he now begins a new chapter at PwC in a strategy and transformation leadership role.

Strengthening Strategy and Transformation Capabilities

Rahul Tiwari’s appointment highlights the growing importance of leaders who can bridge strategy with execution.

As organisations continue to pursue growth, transformation and portfolio development, the ability to translate strategic priorities into practical business outcomes is becoming increasingly important.

With more than a decade of experience across strategy, marketing, sales and business growth, Tiwari’s move to PwC marks a transition from industry leadership to consulting, where his experience across corporate strategy and commercial execution will support his new mandate in Strategy & Transformation.
