PhonePe Appoints Srijon Biswas as Chief Technology Officer

PhonePe has appointed Srijon Biswas as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), marking a significant leadership transition as the company strengthens its technology and artificial intelligence capabilities.

Biswas takes over from Rahul Chari, one of PhonePe’s co-founders, who will now serve as AI Advisor. In his new role, Chari will focus on shaping the company’s long-term AI strategy and driving innovation across its product ecosystem, while Biswas assumes responsibility for leading PhonePe’s overall technology organization. Biswas joined PhonePe in 2022 as Senior Vice President of Engineering and has played a key role in enhancing the company’s technology infrastructure and engineering operations. Before joining PhonePe, he spent more than 13 years at Flipkart, where he held several engineering leadership positions and contributed to building and scaling one of India’s largest e-commerce technology platforms.
