Raymond Appoints Bhanu Prakash Srivastava as CEO of Defence Business

Raymond Limited has appointed Bhanu Prakash Srivastava as Chief Executive Officer – Defence, marking a significant step in the company’s strategy to build a technology-led defence and aerospace business.

Effective July 6, 2026, Srivastava will lead Raymond’s defence vertical, shaping its strategic direction, operational roadmap, and long-term growth agenda. His mandate includes strengthening the company’s capabilities in defence manufacturing, defence electronics, systems integration, software solutions, and aerospace technologies as Raymond expands beyond its traditional engineering business.

Srivastava joins Raymond after an illustrious career spanning nearly four decades at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), where he served as Chairman and Managing Director from 2022 to 2024. Under his leadership, BEL significantly expanded its business, secured major defence orders, accelerated research and development, and introduced more than 100 new products across defence technologies.

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT (BHU), Varanasi, along with an MBA, and has extensive expertise in defence manufacturing, project management, quality systems, radar technologies, communication systems, and indigenous defence innovation. His appointment reflects Raymond’s ambition to establish itself as a credible private-sector player in India’s defence ecosystem.
