Share Procter & Gamble (P&G) has appointed President and Chief Executive Officer Shailesh Jejurikar as Chairman of its Board of Directors, effective August 1, 2026. He will continue to serve as CEO while assuming the additional responsibility of Chairman, completing a planned leadership transition at one of the world’s largest consumer goods companies. The appointment follows the retirement of Executive Chairman Jon Moeller, who will step down from the Board on July 31 and retire from the company on August 14 after nearly four decades of service. Shailesh Jejurikar joined P&G in 1989 and has spent more than 37 years with the organisation, holding leadership positions across multiple business categories and international markets. Throughout his career, he has led businesses in fabric care, home care, health care, and beauty while overseeing major functions including supply chain, information technology, manufacturing, purchasing, sales, and global business services. Earlier this year, he became the first Indian-origin executive to serve as President and CEO of P&G. In announcing the transition, Jejurikar acknowledged Jon Moeller’s leadership and contributions, crediting him with helping shape P&G’s long-term strategy and culture during his 38-year tenure. The Board described the appointment as part of a well-planned succession process designed to ensure continuity and sustained growth. As Chairman, President and CEO, Jejurikar will lead P&G’s global strategy, governance, innovation, and business growth across a portfolio of trusted brands including Tide, Pampers, Gillette, Ariel, Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Oral-B, and Olay. His appointment reflects the company’s confidence in his ability to drive long-term value creation while strengthening P&G’s position as one of the world’s leading consumer goods companies.
