Sequoia Promotes Vishakha Mittal Patel to HR Director

Sequoia has promoted Vishakha Mittal Patel to the position of HR Director, marking another important milestone in her leadership journey within the strategic people advisory and technology company.

Patel steps into the role after serving as Senior Human Resources Business Partner, where she advised high-growth technology companies and investor-backed businesses on people strategy, organisational design, leadership development, compensation, employee relations, and workforce transformation. In her expanded role, she will lead strategic HR initiatives aimed at strengthening organisational capability, leadership effectiveness, and Sequoia’s overall people strategy.

Bringing nearly two decades of experience in human resources, Patel has developed deep expertise in business partnering, organisational development, talent management, employee relations, leadership coaching, and HR consulting across technology, retail, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, and professional services. Before joining Sequoia in 2022, she served as Human Resources Business Partner II at Oasis, a Paychex company, where she advised more than 100 client organisations on strategic HR initiatives. Earlier in her career, she held HR leadership positions at In-N-Out Burger and spent over ten years at Target, progressing through multiple leadership roles in talent acquisition, workforce planning, succession planning, and operational HR.

Patel’s promotion reflects Sequoia’s commitment to developing internal leadership while strengthening its ability to support high-growth organisations with strategic people solutions. In her new role, she will continue partnering with business leaders to build scalable people strategies, enhance leadership capability, and drive organisational effectiveness across the company’s expanding portfolio.
