Lupin has appointed Bijender Vats as Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues to invest in talent, leadership development, and organizational transformation.

In his new role, Vats will lead Lupin’s human resources function, overseeing talent strategy, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, culture, and workforce transformation. His appointment reflects the company’s continued focus on building a future-ready workforce to support its global growth ambitions.

Vats brings more than 25 years of experience in human resources across the pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, and manufacturing sectors. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale people transformation initiatives, succession planning, leadership capability development, organizational design, and culture-building programs.

Before joining Lupin, he served in senior HR leadership roles at Cipla, where he partnered with business leaders to drive strategic HR initiatives across key functions. Earlier, he held leadership positions at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, United Spirits (Diageo), and Marico, gaining extensive experience in talent management, change management, and business partnering.

As the pharmaceutical industry continues to evolve with rapid digital transformation, innovation, and global expansion, strong people leadership remains central to building agile and high-performing organizations. Vats’ appointment is expected to further strengthen Lupin’s talent agenda while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
