JK Tyre Names Mandar V Deo as President – India

JK Tyre & Industries has appointed Mandar V Deo as President – India, strengthening its leadership team as the company sharpens its focus on domestic growth and operational scale.

In his new role, Deo will lead the company’s India business, overseeing operations and driving execution in a rapidly evolving automotive and manufacturing landscape. He will be based in New Delhi and report to the company’s senior leadership.

The appointment comes at a time when the domestic market remains a key growth driver for JK Tyre, with increasing competition and shifting demand dynamics. Strengthening leadership at the India level is expected to support both growth ambitions and operational efficiency.

Deo brings more than two decades of experience across industrial and manufacturing sectors. He has previously held leadership roles at Exide Energy Solutions Limited and Cummins India, where he worked on scaling operations and driving business transformation initiatives.

Academically, he is a mechanical engineer from Pune University and holds advanced degrees, including a PhD from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business.

JK Tyre, ranked among the world’s top tyre manufacturers, operates multiple manufacturing facilities across India and international markets, with a strong presence in over 100 countries. The company has also been focusing on sustainability initiatives and technological advancements to strengthen its market position.
