Share Infosys has announced Ashiss Kumar Dash as its CEO-Designate, paving the way for a planned leadership transition at one of India’s largest IT services companies. Dash will officially assume the role of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director on April 1, 2027, after Salil Parekh completes his second term at the end of March 2027. The transition process begins immediately, allowing Dash to work closely with Parekh over the coming months to ensure continuity in leadership. Ashiss Kumar Dash brings more than three decades of experience at Infosys, having joined the company over 31 years ago. Currently, he leads a diverse global business portfolio covering Energy, Utilities, Resources, Services, and Enterprise Sustainability. Throughout his tenure, he has held several leadership positions across global markets and has been instrumental in expanding Infosys’ digital capabilities, driving AI-led transformation, and strengthening strategic client relationships. He is also an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur. Infosys Chairman Nandan Nilekani said Dash’s appointment reflects the company’s strong internal leadership pipeline and positions Infosys well for its next phase of growth. Dash expressed gratitude for the board’s confidence, stating that he looks forward to building on the strong foundation established under Salil Parekh’s leadership while guiding the organisation through the next phase of AI-driven innovation and global expansion. The leadership announcement comes as Infosys continues to navigate an evolving global technology landscape shaped by artificial intelligence and changing client spending patterns. By choosing a long-serving internal leader with deep institutional knowledge, the company aims to ensure leadership continuity while accelerating innovation, strengthening customer relationships, and driving sustainable long-term growth.
