Hindustan Power has appointed Gopalji Mehrotra as its Chief Human Resources Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues to scale its operations.

Mehrotra brings over three decades of professional experience in human resources across multiple industries. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the company’s people strategy, organisational development, and workforce initiatives aligned with its growth plans.

Prior to joining Hindustan Power, he served as CHRO at ACME Group, where he played a key role in driving HR strategy and organisational transformation.

Over the course of his career, he has held leadership positions at several prominent organisations, including HPCL – Mittal Energy, Ashok Leyland, Mylan, Zensar Technologies, Kennametal, and ITC, building deep expertise in HR leadership across sectors.

He holds an MBA in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Master’s degree in Economics from Delhi School of Economics.

His appointment reflects Hindustan Power’s continued focus on strengthening its organisational capabilities and leadership structure as it expands its footprint in the energy sector.
