Flipkart Appoints Vinay Vaidya as Senior VP to Strengthen Tech Leadership

Flipkart has appointed Vinay Vaidya as Senior Vice President – Technology for Supply Chain, further strengthening its technology leadership as the company continues investing in AI-driven innovation, platform modernization, and supply chain transformation.

In his new role, Vaidya will lead technology and platform development across fulfilment services, seller experience, trust & safety, and marketplace operations. He will also spearhead innovation in logistics and AI-powered capabilities, helping enhance the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of Flipkart’s supply chain ecosystem.

Vaidya joins Flipkart with more than two decades of experience building and scaling digital commerce platforms. Most recently, he served as Chief Technology Officer at Tata Digital, where he led technology strategy, platform modernization, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives across the company’s digital businesses.

Before Tata Digital, he spent nearly 18 years at Amazon, where he played a key role in building foundational capabilities across Marketplace, Seller Ecosystem, Payments, Search & Browse, and Amazon India. His expertise spans product management, engineering, customer experience, and supply chain technology across multiple retail categories, including grocery.

The appointment comes as Flipkart continues to strengthen its senior technology leadership. Earlier this year, the company expanded its leadership bench with key appointments across AI, data science, fintech engineering, platform engineering, and program management, reflecting its continued focus on building a future-ready technology organization.

With Vinay Vaidya joining its leadership team, Flipkart aims to further enhance its technology capabilities, accelerate AI-led innovation, and strengthen the digital infrastructure powering millions of customers, sellers, and deliveries across India.
