CMS Info Systems Appoints Will Poole as Independent Director

CMS Info Systems has appointed Will Poole as an Additional Director (Independent), strengthening its Board with global expertise across technology, artificial intelligence, business leadership and venture investing. The appointment comes as the company accelerates its transformation and increases investments in its Technology & Payment Solutions segment.

Poole is the Managing Partner and Co-founder of Capria Ventures, where he invests in technology businesses across the Global South. He also serves as the firm’s Chief AI Evangelist, bringing experience at the intersection of technology, emerging markets and artificial intelligence.

He brings around four decades of experience in building and scaling technology businesses. Poole spent more than 12 years at Microsoft, having joined the company in 1996 following Microsoft’s acquisition of eShop, the e-commerce business he co-founded. He subsequently served as Corporate Vice President, leading multiple business lines and Microsoft’s efforts to adapt products for emerging markets.

At CMS Info Systems, Poole will contribute to the company’s next phase of growth as it expands the role of technology across its operations. CMS operates across ATM management, retail and currency logistics, and technology and payments. The company is increasingly focused on Vision AI, data and automation to strengthen its technology and payments capabilities.

The appointment reflects CMS’s broader ambition to build a technology-led business services platform. With its nationwide operational reach and financial infrastructure capabilities, the company is looking to use AI and automation to develop more intelligent services for banks and other large institutions.

Poole’s combination of global technology leadership, emerging-market investing and AI expertise is expected to add a new perspective to CMS’s Board as the company works towards its long-term transformation and growth objectives.
