Britannia Industries Limited has appointed Shailesh Kumar as Vice President – Procurement, reinforcing its leadership team as the company continues to strengthen its sourcing capabilities and build a resilient, future-ready supply chain.

In his new role, Kumar will lead Britannia’s procurement function, overseeing strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, procurement transformation, cost optimization, sustainability initiatives, and supply continuity across the business.

Kumar brings more than two decades of experience in procurement and supply chain leadership across the FMCG sector. Prior to joining Britannia, he held senior procurement leadership roles at PepsiCo, where he drove strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier partnerships, and value creation across multiple categories. Earlier in his career, he worked with Unilever, Marico, and ITC, gaining extensive experience in procurement strategy, manufacturing support, supply chain operations, and business transformation.

His appointment comes as FMCG companies increasingly focus on building agile supply chains, strengthening supplier ecosystems, and improving operational efficiency amid evolving market dynamics and changing consumer demand.

With Shailesh Kumar joining as Vice President – Procurement, Britannia aims to further enhance procurement excellence, accelerate supply chain innovation, and support the company’s long-term growth strategy through efficient and sustainable sourcing practices.
