Aon has appointed Sean Deehan as Chief Executive Officer of its Strategy and Technology Group for Asia Pacific (APAC), strengthening the company’s leadership as it expands its advisory, analytics, and technology capabilities across one of its fastest-growing regions.

Based in Hong Kong, Deehan assumes the role with immediate effect and will report to Sherif Zakhary, Global CEO of Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group and Inpoint. He will be responsible for driving the growth of Aon’s integrated advisory, analytics, and technology-led solutions while helping clients make better risk and capital decisions across Asia Pacific. A key priority will be expanding the adoption of Aon’s Life Risk Modeling Suite, including PathWise, its platform for life and annuity risk modelling.

Deehan joins Aon from Willis Towers Watson (WTW), where he most recently served as Greater China Divisional Leader and Head of Hong Kong & Macau. With more than 25 years of leadership experience, he has built expertise across insurance, consulting, corporate strategy, actuarial leadership, mergers and acquisitions, product innovation, and risk management. Earlier in his career, he served as CEO and Executive Director of Standard Life Asia, leading business growth across key Asia-Pacific markets.

According to Aon, Asia Pacific represents a significant growth opportunity for its Strategy and Technology Group. The company believes Deehan’s regional expertise and commercial leadership will help accelerate innovation and strengthen client outcomes by expanding access to advanced analytics and technology-enabled risk solutions.
