Shilpa brings more than 18 years of experience in the music and entertainment industry. Before joining Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios, she held senior leadership roles at Believe India, where she led artist services, label partnerships, and digital music initiatives. Earlier, she worked with Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and Times Music, gaining extensive experience in music marketing, licensing, content strategy, artist relations, and digital distribution. Her appointment comes as streaming platforms continue to place greater emphasis on music as a key driver of audience engagement and brand differentiation. With original soundtracks and music-led promotions becoming increasingly important, experienced music executives play a vital role in shaping the success of premium content.
