Share IDFC FIRST Bank has promoted Pankaj Singh to the position of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), strengthening its leadership team as the bank continues to focus on talent, employee experience and organisational growth. Singh’s elevation follows more than seven years with the bank, during which he has held several HR leadership positions across key business functions. Prior to his promotion, Singh served as Head HR – Retail Banking, Customer Experience and Operations from 2022 to 2026. He initially joined IDFC FIRST Bank in July 2019 as Head HR for Retail Assets, where he led talent and workforce initiatives for the business. His progression within the organisation reflects his extensive contribution to the bank’s people strategy and transformation journey. Singh brings 24 years of experience across human resources, talent management, employee engagement and leadership development. Before joining IDFC FIRST Bank, he worked with Indiabulls Consumer Finance, Royal Bank of Scotland and Standard Chartered Bank. His career has included roles spanning HR business partnering, employee engagement, talent management, performance management and organisational development. As CHRO, Singh will take responsibility for the bank’s broader HR function, including employee experience, talent strategy and leadership development. His appointment comes at a time when organisations across the financial services sector are increasingly focusing on building stronger talent pipelines, developing leadership capabilities and creating employee-centric workplaces. The elevation marks another step in Singh’s long career in HR leadership and highlights IDFC FIRST Bank’s focus on developing internal leadership talent.
