Charles Schwab has appointed Ramesh Kancharla as Director of Software Engineering, reinforcing its technology leadership as the financial services company continues to accelerate digital transformation and strengthen its engineering capabilities.

In his new role, Kancharla will lead software engineering initiatives focused on building scalable, secure, and high-performance technology platforms that support Charles Schwab’s digital products and customer experience. He will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive engineering excellence, cloud adoption, and platform modernization.

Kancharla brings more than two decades of experience in software engineering, enterprise architecture, cloud computing, and technology leadership. Throughout his career, he has led large engineering teams and delivered enterprise-scale digital transformation programs across financial services and technology organizations. His expertise spans application development, cloud-native technologies, DevOps, platform engineering, and digital modernization.

Before joining Charles Schwab, Kancharla held senior leadership positions across leading technology and financial services organizations, where he played a key role in delivering mission-critical platforms, improving engineering efficiency, and enabling business growth through technology innovation.
