upGrad Enterprise has appointed Arushee Aggarwal as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a leadership transition at the corporate learning and workforce transformation arm of upGrad.

Aggarwal, formerly Head of Coursera for Business in India, takes charge as upGrad strengthens its enterprise-focused strategy amid rising global demand for workforce reskilling and digital capability building. She described the move as an “incredibly honoured and exciting” new chapter and expressed gratitude to upGrad Founder and Chairman Ronnie Screwvala for his trust and support.

A Career Rooted in Enterprise Learning

Aggarwal brings over a decade of experience across consulting, strategy and education technology. At Coursera for Business India, she worked closely with corporate leaders and CXOs to drive digital skilling and talent transformation initiatives.

Prior to that, she spent more than six years at Bain & Company as a Senior Manager, advising organisations across technology, digital and consumer sectors on growth strategy and execution. Her career trajectory reflects a consistent focus on aligning learning initiatives with business transformation goals.

She has emphasised that learning becomes a strategic advantage when it is tightly integrated with business priorities — a philosophy that aligns with upGrad Enterprise’s evolving mandate.

Strengthening upGrad’s Enterprise Ambitions

upGrad Enterprise operates in an increasingly competitive corporate learning market, where organisations are accelerating investments in reskilling amid rapid technological disruption, automation and AI adoption.

Under Aggarwal’s leadership, the company aims to deepen partnerships with enterprises across India, the Middle East and other international markets. The focus will be on helping organisations build future-ready teams, strengthen leadership pipelines and enhance digital capabilities.

Her appointment signals upGrad’s intent to further solidify its position in the enterprise skilling ecosystem, at a time when companies are treating workforce learning not as an ancillary benefit but as a core strategic lever for competitiveness and productivity.
