The Sleep Company Appoints Udhay Shankar M as Chief Human Resources Officer

The Sleep Company has named Udhay S as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), marking a strategic move as the fast-growing consumer brand strengthens its leadership bench to support rapid expansion. With operations scaling across retail stores, warehouses and corporate functions, the company is placing increased emphasis on structured people systems and future-ready talent strategies.

Udhay brings over 17 years of experience in human resources leadership across retail and consumer-focused organisations. His expertise spans talent acquisition, employee engagement, capability building, rewards management and HR analytics. Most recently, he served as Head – HR Operations at Metro Brands Ltd, where he played a key role in enhancing HR practices, streamlining people processes and supporting business growth at scale.

Throughout his career, Udhay has partnered closely with business and promoter leadership to redesign organisations, optimise costs and foster inclusive, performance-driven cultures aligned with long-term growth. In his new role at The Sleep Company, he will lead the organisation’s people and culture agenda, with a focus on strengthening employer branding, building robust leadership pipelines and elevating employee experience across the enterprise.
