Share The Lallantop, the digital news platform under the India Today Group, has appointed Chayan Rastogi as Editor (Content Innovation), reinforcing its focus on evolving content formats and strengthening its digital-first storytelling approach. Rastogi joins the platform with close to 20 years of experience in the media industry, bringing deep expertise in editorial strategy, content development and digital storytelling. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving content innovation, enhancing audience engagement and shaping new-age storytelling formats, as The Lallantop continues to expand its presence in India’s competitive digital media landscape. Prior to this, Rastogi was associated with Zee Media, where he served as Head of Original Content for over two years. His tenure there focused on building original content formats and strengthening the organisation’s digital content pipeline. Notably, this was his second stint with the network. Earlier, he worked with ABP Network as an Associate Executive Producer, contributing to editorial production and content execution over nearly three years. A significant part of his career was spent at NDTV, where he worked for close to a decade across various editorial and production roles, gaining extensive experience in news content creation and storytelling. His appointment reflects a broader shift in the media industry, where platforms are increasingly investing in innovative content formats, digital-first strategies and audience-centric storytelling to stay relevant in a rapidly evolving consumption landscape. With Rastogi on board, The Lallantop is expected to further strengthen its content innovation capabilities, experiment with new formats and deepen its engagement with digital audiences.
