Sarovar Hotels has unveiled an ambitious expansion strategy, aiming to grow its portfolio to 400 hotels over the next five years while creating more than 10,000 new jobs across India.

The company currently operates and develops around 250 hotels with nearly 22,000 keys. As part of its near-term roadmap, Sarovar expects to surpass 210 operational hotels within the next 36 months, supported by a strong pipeline of 100–120 additional properties. In 2026 alone, the company is targeting around 20 new hotel openings, which would take its operational portfolio to approximately 170 hotels by the end of the year.

Driving this expansion is a robust asset-light model, with nearly 90% of Sarovar’s portfolio under management contracts and the remainder under franchise agreements. This approach allows the company to scale efficiently without significant capital investment in owned assets, relying instead on strategic partnerships.

Financially, Sarovar Hotels is projecting strong growth momentum, with estimated revenues of ₹2,300 crore in 2026, up from ₹1,991 crore last year. The company has already reported a solid start to the year, with 5% same-store growth and an overall portfolio growth of 11.4% in the first quarter, despite global uncertainties.

A key focus area for expansion is Tier II and Tier III cities, along with pilgrimage destinations and emerging leisure markets. These regions are witnessing rising demand for branded hospitality offerings, presenting significant opportunities for growth.

The expansion is also expected to have a major impact on employment. With a current workforce of over 10,000 employees, the company plans to add a similar number of jobs as new hotels become operational.

In addition to its core hotel business, Sarovar has diversified into branded residences, with projects such as ACE HIVE in Greater Noida and The Element in Ghaziabad, marking its entry into adjacent real estate segments.

With a scalable business model, strong development pipeline, and focus on high-growth markets, Sarovar Hotels is positioning itself as a key player in India’s evolving hospitality landscape, aligned with increasing travel demand and infrastructure development.
