Share Global software firm Sapiens is set to cut hundreds of jobs following the completion of its $2.5 billion acquisition by private equity firm Advent, with employees in India and the United States expected to be the most impacted. According to reports, the company plans to reduce nearly 10% of its global workforce, affecting around 540 employees out of its 5,400-strong headcount. The layoffs will not be evenly distributed across regions. India, which employs nearly 2,000 people, and the US, with around 600 employees, may see job cuts of up to 10%, while Israel is expected to witness a smaller reduction of about 40 roles, or roughly 5% of its local workforce. The restructuring reflects the new management’s strategic shift away from software-and-services sales towards a full software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, aligned with cloud-based industry standards. Reports also suggest that some recent US acquisitions may not be considered strategic under Advent’s ownership, potentially leading to divestments over the next year. #Layoffs #Sapiens #TechJobs #WorkforceUpdate #ITIndustry #SaaSTransformation #IndiaJobs #USJobs #CorporateRestructuring Post navigation LG Electronics’ ₹5,000 Crore Sri City Plant Set to Create Thousands of Jobs in Andhra Pradesh – Minister L’Oréal to Invest ₹3,500 Crore in Hyderabad GCC, Creating 2,000 Tech Jobs
