Share Samsung Electronics has elevated Jagpreet Singh to the position of General Manager, marking a major milestone in his long-standing career with the global technology giant. The promotion comes after more than 13 years with the organisation, during which Singh has played a key role in strengthening internal audit, risk management and governance frameworks. In his new role, Singh will assume expanded leadership responsibilities within Samsung’s Global Audits function. His mandate will include overseeing complex forensic reviews, strengthening internal control systems, and supporting governance initiatives across business operations. The elevation reflects the company’s confidence in his expertise in forensic audits, fraud investigations and risk compliance. Prior to his promotion, Singh served as Deputy General Manager – Forensic Audit at Samsung Electronics from 2022 to 2026, where he led several high-impact global audit projects and forensic investigations. His work focused on identifying risk areas, improving control mechanisms and ensuring compliance with internal governance frameworks. Earlier in his tenure, he worked as Senior Manager – Forensic Audit, contributing significantly to fraud risk assessments, internal audits and compliance monitoring across multiple business units. Over the years, Singh has built a strong reputation for handling sensitive investigations and strengthening financial governance practices within the organisation. Before joining Samsung Electronics, Singh held audit and risk management roles with leading corporate groups. At the Aditya Birla Group, he worked in the Internal Audit – Telecom function, independently executing complex audit projects and leading confidential fraud investigations. He also spent time with Tata Communications, where he was responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, fraud risk reviews and process control evaluations, further deepening his expertise in corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Earlier in his career, Singh trained as an Articled Assistant at AKG & Co., gaining foundational experience in statutory and internal audits. With nearly two decades of professional experience, Singh brings deep capabilities in audit leadership, forensic investigation, risk management and compliance oversight. His promotion is expected to further strengthen Samsung Electronics’ internal governance structure as the company continues to scale its global operations and navigate increasingly complex regulatory and risk environments. The elevation also underscores Samsung’s continued focus on building leadership talent internally, particularly in critical functions such as audit and corporate governance.
