RR Kabel Appoints Kamaljeet Kaur as Chief Human Resources Officer, Reinforcing Focus on People-First Growth

Leading wire and cable manufacturer RR Kabel has appointed Kamaljeet Kaur as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), adding a seasoned people leader to its senior management team. Kaur announced the move on LinkedIn, expressing enthusiasm about stepping into her new role at the company.

Kaur brings close to 22 years of HR leadership experience spanning an impressive range of industries – from banking and consumer goods to infrastructure, energy and manufacturing. Before joining RR Kabel, she served as Chief People Officer at Gensol Group, where she led the organisation’s human resources and people strategy function. Her career prior to that reads like a tour of India’s most recognised corporate names, including Sterlite Power, Serentica, Jubilant FoodWorks, Heidelberg Cement, HDFC Bank, Wrigley and Hero MotoCorp – each role adding a distinct layer of expertise across different workforce environments and business contexts.

This breadth of cross-sector experience positions Kaur well for the demands of a fast-growing manufacturing company like RR Kabel, which operates in a highly competitive and capital-intensive industry. Her exposure to large unionised workforces, consumer-facing organisations and infrastructure-driven businesses means she understands the full complexity of managing people in both dynamic and regulated environments.

Academically, Kaur holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management with a specialisation in HR from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD) in Pune – one of India’s most respected institutions for HR professionals.

At RR Kabel, Kaur will be expected to shape and execute a comprehensive people strategy at a time when the wire and cable sector is undergoing significant transformation. Rising infrastructure investment, energy transition projects and the push for domestic manufacturing under initiatives like Make in India are creating both growth opportunities and talent challenges for companies in this space.
