Digital healthcare company Practo has appointed Cijo George as Vice President – Artificial Intelligence, marking a strategic step in strengthening its AI capabilities across healthcare solutions.

In his new role, George will collaborate closely with Practo’s product, engineering, and clinical teams to develop and deploy AI-powered solutions designed to improve healthcare delivery. He will report directly to Co-founder and CEO Shashank ND.

Announcing the appointment, Practo highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence in transforming healthcare, while emphasizing the responsibility of ensuring meaningful impact. The company noted that AI in healthcare must go beyond technological advancement and focus on delivering measurable improvements in patient outcomes, clinical decision-making, and operational efficiency for healthcare providers.

Commenting on his new role, Cijo George shared that the opportunity to apply AI in ways that directly enhance healthcare outcomes was a key motivation behind his decision to join the company. He emphasized the importance of building human-centric AI systems that support doctors with better insights and precision while improving patient care.

George also acknowledged the leadership team at Practo, including Shashank ND, Abhinav Lal, and Siddhartha Nihalani, noting the company’s clear vision and strong focus on creating meaningful impact through technology.

Prior to joining Practo, George spent more than four years at Observe.AI, where he played a key role in building AI-driven solutions and leading technology initiatives. Reflecting on his previous role, he credited the experience and collaboration with colleagues for shaping his approach to building scalable AI products.

With his expertise in artificial intelligence, product innovation, and technology-led transformation, George is expected to help Practo advance its mission of leveraging AI to create smarter, more efficient, and patient-centric healthcare solutions.
