Share Intel has elevated Santhosh Viswanathan as Vice President and Managing Director for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, expanding his leadership mandate from India to one of the company’s most strategically important markets. In his new role, Viswanathan will lead Intel’s overall business, brand positioning, and customer engagement across the APJ region. The move brings the region under a more unified leadership structure, reflecting Intel’s focus on driving growth and strengthening its presence across diverse and fast-evolving markets. Viswanathan will be responsible for accelerating business performance, deepening relationships with customers and partners, and advancing Intel’s strategic priorities across the region. His appointment comes at a time when APJ continues to play a critical role in global technology adoption, semiconductor demand, and digital transformation. A seasoned Intel leader, Viswanathan brings over two decades of experience across multiple geographies. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Managing Director for Intel India, where he played a key role in strengthening the company’s position in one of its largest markets. Prior to that, he led Intel’s operations across Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, and has held several regional leadership roles across the APJ region. Earlier in his career, he served as Global Director of Operations in the United States, where he led sales operations strategy and supported large-scale transformation initiatives for Intel’s global sales organisation. Commenting on his new role, Viswanathan highlighted the importance of the region, noting that APJ represents one of the most diverse and fast-growing markets globally, driven by strong ecosystems of people, partners, and technology innovation. With this leadership transition, Intel is positioning itself to better capture growth opportunities across APJ, as demand for advanced computing, AI, and semiconductor technologies continues to accelerate across industries.
