Share Delhivery has announced the appointment of Neelam Dhawan as Non-Executive Independent Director, effective March 20, 2026. She will take on the role of Chairperson of the Board from April 1, 2026, marking a significant transition in the company’s governance structure. Dhawan succeeds Deepak Kapoor, who is stepping down after more than eight years on the board. The transition reflects Delhivery’s focus on strengthening its strategic direction as it continues to scale its technology-led logistics platform. Welcoming the appointment, Sahil Barua, Managing Director and CEO of Delhivery, highlighted Dhawan’s extensive experience in leading global technology businesses and her strong boardroom expertise as key assets for the company’s next phase of growth. With over 30 years of leadership experience, Dhawan is widely regarded as a prominent figure in India’s technology ecosystem. Her career spans senior leadership roles, including Managing Director positions at Microsoft India, HP India Sales and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise India, where she led large, complex and globally integrated operations across sectors such as banking, manufacturing and healthcare. Beyond executive roles, she brings significant governance experience, currently serving on the boards of leading organisations including Hindustan Unilever, Tech Mahindra, Ather Energy, Fractal Analytics and Capita plc, as well as the Nudge Lifeskills Foundation. Her appointment comes at a time when companies are increasingly focusing on board diversity, strong governance frameworks and technology-led strategic oversight. For Delhivery, which operates at the intersection of logistics and technology, such leadership is particularly critical. Academically, Dhawan holds a degree in Economics from St. Stephen’s College and an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (University of Delhi). She has also been a member of the NASSCOM Executive Council and has been recognised by global publications such as Fortune and Forbes among the most powerful women in business. This leadership change underscores Delhivery’s intent to enhance its board strength and strategic guidance, as it continues to build scale and innovation in India’s rapidly evolving logistics ecosystem.
