Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin virtually participated in the ceremony held on February 12, alongside Industries Minister TRB Rajaa and Industries Department Principal Secretary Arun Roy, among others. The state-of-the-art facility will manufacture a range of Dabur’s leading products, including toothpastes such as Dabur Red and Meswak, as well as personal care brands like Dabur Gulabari, Vatika Hair Oil and Anmol Hair Oil. Production is also expected to scale up to include Real Juices and Amla Hair Oil, positioning Tindivanam as a key pillar in Dabur’s national manufacturing network. Dabur India Ltd Chief Executive Officer Mohit Malhotra said the new plant will strengthen supply resilience and bring manufacturing closer to consumers in the southern region. He described the ground-breaking as a defining step in building Dabur’s next growth chapter, with operations designed to be faster, greener and more consumer-centric. He added that Tamil Nadu offers a strong platform for agile scaling and enhanced regional service capabilities. Global Operations Head Saurabh Lal said the Tindivanam facility reflects Dabur’s vision of future-ready and responsible manufacturing. The plant will feature advanced technology, operate entirely on renewable energy and foster an inclusive workplace with a predominantly women workforce. The new unit is expected to significantly enhance Dabur’s southern manufacturing footprint, supporting scale, operational efficiency and sustainability while reinforcing the ‘Made in Tamil Nadu’ proposition in one of India’s key FMCG markets.
