Cushman & Wakefield has strengthened its regional leadership team with the appointment of Ronita Majumdar Basu as Head of People Partnering for India, South-East Asia, Middle East and Africa, as the firm accelerates its growth across high-potential markets. Based in Gurugram, she will oversee the firm’s people strategy across these regions, aligning talent, culture and leadership priorities with long-term business ambitions.

With over 19 years of global HR leadership experience, Ronita has designed and led people strategies across multi-country operations and large capability centres spanning India, APAC, Europe and the Americas. An alumna of XLRI Jamshedpur, she brings extensive expertise in talent management, leadership development, employee engagement and workforce planning, particularly in organisations undergoing transformation and scale.

Her appointment comes at a time when Cushman & Wakefield is deepening its presence across emerging and mature markets, supported by rising demand for real estate, workplace and advisory solutions. Leadership strengthening in people strategy is expected to play a key role in enabling the firm to build strong capability pipelines, high-performing teams and an inclusive organisational culture across diverse geographies.

Industry observers note that the move underscores the firm’s commitment to integrating strategic talent planning with business expansion, ensuring that leadership depth and cultural cohesion keep pace with operational growth across regions. As Cushman & Wakefield continues to scale its services and regional footprint, Ronita’s mandate will include supporting enterprise-wide priorities around leadership alignment, capability building, organisational effectiveness and long-term workforce resilience, positioning the firm for sustained growth.
