Share Aon has named Joe Peiser as Chief Executive Officer of its Risk Capital business, expanding his leadership scope as the firm deepens the connection between risk advisory and capital solutions. From his base in Dublin, Peiser will now oversee Risk Capital capabilities across Commercial Risk and Reinsurance Solutions. He will continue to report to Andy Marcell, CEO of Global Solutions. The company also confirmed that it has initiated a search for a new CEO to lead the Commercial Risk division. The decision brings unified oversight to one of Aon’s most strategically important growth areas at a time when clients are navigating a volatile risk environment, increasing catastrophe-related losses and ongoing pressure on capital availability. Peiser joined Aon in 2021 and stepped into the role of Global CEO of Commercial Risk in 2023. With more than three decades of experience across broking, consulting and executive leadership, he has worked extensively across North America, the United Kingdom and Bermuda. During his tenure, he has been closely associated with transformation efforts aimed at modernising broking operations and embedding data and analytics more deeply into client advisory work. By broadening Peiser’s remit, the firm is reinforcing its ambition to deliver more integrated solutions where access to capital, risk transfer and strategic guidance operate as a unified value proposition for clients. The leadership transition is effective immediately, with further announcements regarding the Commercial Risk succession process expected in due course.
