Share Allianz Technology has appointed Mansi Nigam as Chief People and Culture Officer for India, strengthening its leadership team as the organisation expands its technology and digital capabilities in one of the world’s most competitive talent markets. Nigam shared news of her new role through a LinkedIn announcement, expressing enthusiasm about joining Allianz Technology and contributing to the company’s people and culture agenda. In her new position, she will be responsible for leading human resources strategy, organisational development and employee experience initiatives across the company’s India operations. Her role will also involve aligning workforce strategy with Allianz Technology’s broader global technology and innovation priorities. Allianz Technology operates as the global IT services arm of Allianz Group, providing technology infrastructure, digital platforms and IT solutions that support the insurer’s global operations. India plays an increasingly important role in this ecosystem, serving as a key hub for technology delivery and digital talent. Nigam joins Allianz Technology following a nearly seven-year tenure at BNY (Bank of New York Mellon), where she held several senior HR leadership roles supporting large-scale technology and operations teams. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and HR Business Partner for Global Fund Services Operations and India, where she worked closely with leadership teams to shape workforce strategy, organisational design and leadership development initiatives. Before that, she held the role of Senior Vice President – HR Business Partner for India Engineering, focusing on people strategy for engineering teams and technology functions. Earlier in her time at BNY, she also served as Vice President – HR Business Partner for Technology and Operations, supporting workforce planning and engagement initiatives for key business units. Her responsibilities across these roles included strategic talent planning, leadership development programmes, employee engagement initiatives and organisational transformation projects across the company’s India-based operations. Prior to joining BNY, Nigam built experience across several multinational organisations. She worked with Syngenta, where she focused on people and organisational development initiatives across South Asia, particularly in areas such as talent management and leadership pipeline development. Earlier in her career, she held a talent management role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where she contributed to leadership development frameworks and programmes aimed at identifying and nurturing high-potential employees within the company’s India operations. Across her career, Nigam has developed expertise in multiple HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, learning and development, HR business partnering and employee engagement. She holds an MBA in Human Resources and Marketing from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering. Her appointment comes at a time when multinational organisations are continuing to expand their presence in India through technology centres and global capability hubs. As these operations grow, HR leadership roles are becoming increasingly strategic, focusing not only on recruitment but also on shaping organisational culture, leadership capability and long-term workforce resilience. With companies facing intense competition for digital talent and adapting to evolving workplace models, people and culture leaders are playing a critical role in building workplaces that support innovation while maintaining strong employee engagement. Nigam’s combination of experience across financial services, enterprise technology and multinational corporate environments is expected to support Allianz Technology as it continues strengthening its workforce strategy and organisational culture in India.
